blew up MSI 775 board today :( was running ok for a few weeks of oc'd running, however never ran it 24/7. So decided to do some serious stressing and Prime95 pwned the board. Blew out a mosfet and scattered ash all over my board etc.... So off to RMA and will wait for replacement. Good thing this happened Before my comparison article. Gives me excuse to play with Chaintech board :p |
hehe, the boards aren't build how they used to :) |
damm Prescott though chews up so many amps kills boards :( |
my P4C800 Deluxe still runs fine after 1.5 years. used it for folding for about 2 months 24/7 @ 4000 mhz with one of the first PIV 3.0C without a hickup. good thing RMA always works no ? ;) |
yes, RMA is ok Too bad board died though :( makes me feel iffy about Prescott power regulations, where I thought issues were ironed out after transition to 775 :( |
I use ram sinks on MOSFET. The 2.8E @3.5 has been running since Feb. 12; but it's kept at 1.5V not any higher.:) That mother is hot all over. |
