Blew up monitor yesterday
 

My 17" crt from AOC has died on me yesterday.

at resolution higher then 800x600 the screen would warp and display strange artifacts at the same time there is a burning smell coming out of it.

Filed a RMA, let's see how fast they will respond.

I hope my replacement gets here before the end of next week, if not I need to borrow a monitor of someone for OCC.

umh, well I want to do some gaming there,
A friend of me is going also, he has a spare 17" crt he can bring.

But I'm still hoping that the RMA will come through soon.

well image quality on the 17" CRT will be superior in games for sure!

17"CRT is dirt cheap; returning would cost more in freight. I picked up two 17" second handed HP CRTs for $20 each; I left them in my truck so that I don't have to carry them back in the house everytime when I go to show.;)

Had a phonecall from AOC yesterday, they will send someover to pickup /replace monitor today.

Between begin and end of RMA -> 4 days.
