Default BIOS chips, where to get

the BIOS of Nforce² boards get quite easily corrupted (there's some kind of bug in the chipset). I'd like to have a backup chip in case I kill mine (so my rig isn't down for weeks)

where can you obtain BIOS chips for an A7N8X, or other NF² boards? (they're the same, but with different biosfile)

Just try mail the support division of ASUS and ask for a new chip.
Say something like "I tried to update it and now its broken". Normally they will send you a new one for free

I know Abit and MSI will send new ones, im sure ASUS will too

I'll request either a BIOS savior kit or a new BIOS chip. same goes for the NB fan of my PT4533 that's worn off after 10 months of spinning, 24/7

When I bought my secondhand kx7-r it had also a corrupt bioschip, I mailed Abit and I could choose to :
1 send it up for reprogramming
2 ask for a new one and send the bad one up afterwards
3 buy a new one for 8€.
