Sell it. You can get 350$ for that card if you're a bit lukcy, while the R9700 will be available for not that much more in a few weeks.

a knife? I was thinking of using creditcard and/or screwdriver after 2 hours in the freezer.

Selling is really tempting but a: I want to try bf1942 out and it won't work with my the gff drr it seems and b: mē is coming up and I'm afraid the radeon won't be available by then.

Well, I guess i'll have to flip a coin on this; right after dinner...

mmm, toss said "open it and use it" but i'll put it for sale just to see how much I could sell it. +/- €500 for a r9700 isn't that expensive, certainly when I only have to"opleggen" a 100€ :grr:

i know that stuff
a)the vga connecter behind your screen causes it
=>my old screen turned purple, after a while more and more. brought it to a hw-shop and he replaced that cable on the rear of my screen.
b) your vga connecter to your graca: when i don't put it properly on, it also turns into strange colours. check your connections
