For all WC-geeks

I need a watercooling setup that is small (needs to fit into prometeia topcase), and ultrasilent...But it needs to give decent cooling, not looking for max cooling but decent.
I have my current setup slk800 with fan which is still too loud for my working place.

Mind : the case will only be cooled with 1 ultrasilent papst fan as exhaust and nothing else, the room is @25°C always.

any ideas?

the cost is of little importance...

If it doesn't work I'll have to downtune my t'bred coz I really need less noise...

Koolance EXOS system looks like a winner for you :)

The Senile Doctor 29th January 2003 17:00

needs to be SILENT
I mean SILENT, that exosbloke has three fans on top...

which cpu @ which speed/voltage ?
idle/load temps ?

i'd suggest a custom dualfan rad based system, with 2 papst 120mm's @ 5V (= really, really silent)

cpu + gpu cooling ?

The koolance I reviewed also had 3 fans on top, but as I recall at the lowest speed it was rather silent

EXOS = silent.

Highs:
- Good performance
- Quiet, my case fans are unfortunately louder
- Very easy to install
- The control panel is very useful
- Looks good
- Works with any case that has an available PCI/ISA/AGP slot

Noise levels are really minimal, and this alone makes the Koolance Exos a standout product. Many of us have exhausted ourselves trying to build a quiet system with heatsinks and fans, but in certain situations it's just not possible. But the Koolance can automate some of this noise management for you by increasing the fans' speed only as needed, if set on 1 or 2 fan speeds. This alone will make life a little easier!

owkay but I can't put that stuff on my rig in the kabinet, sorry.

jmke 29th January 2003 18:29

? it looks very professional & doesn't make a peep

The Senile Doctor 29th January 2003 19:53

I know, but there's lots of visible fans : my mom goes nuts when she sees that stuff

No offense JMke, but when it comes to silence you have little experience. :p

Doc, if you want i can make you a virtually silent watercooling rig (you won't be able to tell whether it's on or off) and have killer looks. :king:

It will cost you a case, a PSU and approx €400 though.
