9700 Pro 128mb newbie

Hi chaps,
I've just purchased a second hand 9700 pro 128mb and need a bit of advise on what catalyst drivers are the best. I'm also going to try and see how much it will overclock. Any advise on gfx card coolers, which one is the best, or should I just get the dremel out and attach a heatsink and fan myself? Any help is much appreciated

if you want to play Doom 3 you might want the get the latest Catalyst 4.9 beta drivers. if not take a look at the www.omegacorner.com for a driver with excellent balance between quality/performance

cooler-wise you can not go wrong with the VGA Silencer from Arctic Cooling, http://www.arctic-cooling.com/en/products/vga_silencer/ do make sure you get the latest version as older ones might not fit the R9700 Pro.

ohh and another question where do I find the overclocking software. I tried to find one of your legendary guides but couldn't find one. Do I have to softmod the card or can I use windows based software?
