Default 80mm variable case-coolers...

Am looking for at least three 80mm variable case-coolers for the rightside panel of a Chieftec Bravo Big Tower (Keeping the HD bay brisk)

Emptied my Antec 1200 and switched my current system over to the Chieftec because of building an LGA1156-based PC, but the three brushless Power Logic fans I bought at the time make so much noise there's the "Commitee Against Low-Flying Aircrafts" picketing in front of my house.

There's a couple of brands I checked, like Arctic Cooling, but they don't have the variable kind with a controller unit...

I could also go with sensor-based coolers, to get rid of the hassle of the control unit.

So, anyone out there that can point me in the direction of some good, rather silent 80mm coolers? Either variable or with a sensor. (In case your suggestion turns out to be a little pricey, please add address of possible sponsor as well)

Okay, let the experts start crawling out of the woodwork...

How about something like this

Not sure what you'd consider pricey tho

Cheers Kurgie... but that Gelid cooler isn't variable (or PWM (powermanaged) to use the correct terms)...

Must say that in the meantime I found out that Arctic Cooling do have some nice PWM/Sensor coolers, but they're hidden as long as you don't have an account with them. I just signed-up and, tadààà, there's a whole bunch more visible now

And pricey would be €20 or more...

I would personally mod a couple of 120mm fans on the outside; it will offer lower noise, better performance.

Mmm... not a bad idea... 2x120=3x80. Since the plastic 3x80mm fan-roster can be taken out and I still have some extra dustfilters from an Antec 1200, I could make an outside sleeve that holds both filters and fans. Won't win any beauty prizes, but who cares, as long as the HD's are keeping their hot little heads cool.
