Just have seen that tones.be propose you the 2493 proposes you this model for 379€ with a 3 years warranty. If you really want to purchase it from one of the shop you mentionned earlier, I would than suggest you contact tones.be and ask them if they apply the zero pixel warranty or not within their included 3 years warranty...

ps: looks nice this monitor :-)

nope, the 36 months is the standard Samsung warranty length. tones doesn't offer any specific pixel warranty.

hell, it seems like the Samsung/tones warranty is actually worse than the one offered by Alternate, by default?

Samsung talks of 7 dead pixels before replacement.

anyhow, since TN panels have a higher likelyhood of dead pixels, i suppose i'll smack down the extra 40 euros...

i've had the 2493HM for a while now. can only say i have no regrets (yet).

the glossy finish on the plastic kinda sucks though, but luckily the panel itself isn't glossy. there's a few other minor gripes, but overall, it's all positive.
