![]() | ![]() Without lan? Why? You could build a (open)Mosix cluster with 2 PC's (don't need to be identical) connected with firewire. A cheap and efficient way to get load balancing. ![]()

| ![]() certain programs (like 3d studio max) support exacutions on 2 PC' simultaneously. This usually works over LAN though. |

If it's for personal use i'd recommend openmosix with gigabit lan.

![]() | ![]() you can "hack" the Windows cluster by changing some files/registry settings , that way you can use a normal network drive, but this is hardly recommended and I only used it in a test environment for learning W2k server.
