In this case, "box" has to be "doos"... "vak" is an open space, like a parking space or a square in a cupboard... ;)

What's your asking price for both, together/apart?

Kurgan 23rd November 2009 11:57

Thanks for the tip!

I should remeber to use to proper word when using the translator, which isnt perfect but has really helped me a lot around here.

The ATCS840 is about +/- €200 + taxes and shipping I think €150 is probably fair? For the Video Card I'm not 100% sure about. The waterblock is a kicker, they are about €100 a piece, the EVGA 260 216 is still going for about €170 so
I think €200 would be suitable?

JimmyJump 25th November 2009 18:03

Well, I just raped my piggie to buy a new mobo, processor and GPU, so I'll prolly have to us physical force at my bank to get more money...

Thanks anyway for the info, Kurgie ;-)

By the way, do you still shout "there can be only one" or "it's better to burn-out than to fade away" before going to sleep? :p

Kurgan 25th November 2009 19:06

Depends on the mood I'm in :)

Kurgan 25th November 2009 19:35

I see the specs on the new hardware you purchased, basically the same I wanna get in the near future...cept maybe the full Maximus and not the Genie.

The ATCS looks a bit like the CoolerMaster 'Elite' midi case I've got here somewhere... only the 'Elite' is smaller and doesn't have the 90-degrees turned HD-bay...

Last week I bought a Gigabyte Posseidon 310 for 95 euro at Digital Seeds in Antwerp, which reduces my budget still...

The 'Elite' will go ou the door for 400 euro (with lots of stuff inside, mind) but the guy for whom I assembled the PC is in hospital for the moment (not visiting, but taken ill) so I'll have to wait until at least the end of January before I can again shove some money around.

Should you still have the case by then, we'll talk about it, as I understood that you live outside of Europe? Or am I mistaken here?

Kurgan 13th December 2009 16:03

Nope,

Live right here near Mons, Belgium (went to Antwerp a couple weeks ago and picked up my HTC Touch Pro 2) But I'm Canadian :woot:

From Canada? Montreal then... otherwise you wouldn't go living in the Walloons, héhé...

Comment ça va en Wallonie? On comprends ton accent Khennedien la-bas? :D

Not excatly

Je Ne Pas Parle Francaise...fan of Montreal Canadiens hockey team tho :-p
I'm from the Island of Newfoundland, which is almost exclusively English.

Okay. This proves that at age 48, I'm still rather supple as I'm able to put at least one foot in my mouth :D

Newfoundland, heh... Niw Vin Land for the Vikings among us or Terra Nova for the ones who went into priesthood and studied Latin.

Anyway, to get back to the case of the case, if you find someone who wants to buy it, go ahead. If you still have it at the end of January/beginning of February (depending on when I get my allowance and/or the money from the sick guy) I'll bug you again for the case ;)

Kurgan 13th December 2009 16:31

If your from the Island you just call it "The Rock".

If I sell the case, I'll post it here so ya know. Otherwise just send me a msg if the temptation gets too much for you ;-D

The case of the case is a case to be considered only when I've got the cash. In such case, I'll buy the case as I'm considering a new case, in case my old case has a case of being cast away. Okay. From now on, I'll use the word enclosure. I promise.

"The Rock" would be OK, in enclosure it was called 'Het Eiland' in Flemish. But it's called 'Het Eilandje', which, thanks to the 'je', is a diminutive, hence "Little Island", first and formost because the word "Island-ette" isn't invented yet. Errr... it is now, of course, but I still prefer "Little Island" ;-)

At 42,000 square miles (109,000 sq. km.), the Island of Newfoundland is the 15th largest in the world, half the size of Britain...including mainland Labrador, the Province "Newfoundland and Labrador" it is almost one-and-three-quarters times the size of Great Britain :woot:

Just not sure "Island-ette" would be the proper term ;-D

Ah. Okay. Seems there's been a misunderstanding. I thought you referred to me living on The Rock as I live in a district of Antwerp called 'Het Eilandje' --meaning 'Little Island' in Ye 'Ol English-- hence the little Flemish Class in my prior post... :-p

Kurgan 15th December 2009 19:08

Haha,

Ya I guess that was a huge misunderstanding "case"....I think we completely highjacked this thread...but I guess its my thread and thats cool with me |D

I hear Jmke is a real hardass about that kinda stuff tho ;-D

jmke 15th December 2009 21:57

I have no issue with you guys rambling along like old farts ;p

JimmyJump 21st December 2009 18:26

Update in the case of the case: a second-hand PC store in Antwerp is setting aside an Antec 900 II for me, for €50, so I won't be buying your Coolermaster after all... :(

Kurgan 30th December 2009 20:53

No worries at all Jimmy,

I've got some plans for the case afterall now....I'll post more on that when its complete :)

I've decided to wait until/if Corsairs releases the next gen, hoefully it will be alumimum and not Steel, and perhaps with better airflow. I also assume that by the time another gen is released it'll have eSata (III) connection?

Either way, I've decided to overcome some of the issues I have with the 840 and take matters in my own hands :)

K.
