[Estimation]Systemparts

Hello,

I would like how much I would get by selling following items:

° BFG 6800GT OC (life-time warranty and brand new from RMA)

° Abit NF7-S rev. 2 motherboard with unused BIOS Savior and new BIOS chip

° AMD Barton Mobile 2400+ (2GHz, 512Kb L2 cache, unknown stepping)

° Cascade waterblock with transformed P4 retention system (modified to suit socket A motherboards without inhibiting it's use on P4 mobos)

I think that's all. :)

EDIT: I'd like to know the price I could ask for my Thermochill 120.3 radiator and 4 120mm Panaflo M fans

Added some stuff I wanted to pricecheck too.

[Bonbon] 19th April 2006 12:28

i'll bid 100 on the vga card

Xploited Titan 19th April 2006 12:40

OK, thx for the info.

Don't forget I'm just asking an estimation about the resale's prices.

New stuff being pretty expensive, I won't sell my current stuff before being sure I ofund what I'm looking for.

jmke 19th April 2006 12:43

I would say that the 6800GT is still worth €150 for sure;
the 7600GT costs ~€220 new and is slightly faster than the 6800GT.

sell the CPU on eBAY should be able to get €50 or more; the motherboard is in the 30-60 euro range

watercooling stuff is hard to sell of ebay, so best is to check forums, 75% of new price is always a good to aim for

Xploited Titan 19th April 2006 12:53

Thank you, especially BFG's life-time warranty is nice. :) The card is completely new from RMA and has worked about one day (noticed my BH-5 memory is bugged for no apparent reason).

I quickly checked the forums and [M], but I can't see anything about suggested hardware for a good setup.

I was thinking about an Athlon64 X2 CPU, but when I saw the prices, I almost fainted. :( And I don't need SLI mobos, but still need PCI.

Any suggestions?

EDIT:
Is http://www.ldlc.be/fiche/PB00036449.html a good mobo you think?

jmke 19th April 2006 13:17

life-time warranty... hmm.. you might want to read the small print, in Europe it doesn't apply I think, you get 1-2 years max.

for a setup, check our webnews section, search "guide*" should give you plenty of high/mid/low range systems.

if you really need to buy a system now;

S939 PCIe motherboard
1Gb PC3200 (1 stick)
Athlon X2 3800+
7600GT or 7900GT depending on budget

if you wait until October/November both Intel and AMD will have new products out which will cause older generation to cost less, and even the newest tech will not cost an arm and a leg (Conroe is slated to introduce lower clocked version at $200 price point)

no.

nVidia nForce4
or
ATI Xpress 3200

for chipset; which one will depend on your video card choice, of course:)

That was a clear message :D

Thank you for the reply. :super:

jmke 19th April 2006 14:28

the fan on the video card is only good for 1 year of warranty

BFG Technologies is proud to warrant the original purchaser of the Graphics Card Fan included in this package ("Product") that the Product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase of the product, when given normal wear and proper usage. This warranty is valid if the product
afterwards it is no longer covered by the warranty, so if you fan fails after 2 years you will have to VOID your lifetime warranty to fix it....

Xploited Titan 19th April 2006 16:34
