Hi all,

I want to buy the Dell U2410 TFT

but as many of you know, the Dell prices are simply ridiculous in Belgium

The monitor costs 664 euro (955 dollar) including tax
This same monitor costs 493 euro in the US (including the same amount of tax for comparison and at least once a month it rains -20% coupons in the US (410 euro including tax!)

I know I'll never get it for the same price as in the US, but I've also seen someone in Portugal getting it for 514 euro (and Portugal is also known for its ridiculous prices, it costs 670 euro @ dell.pt)

so my question is:
how do I get it for a normal price? Dell told me they don't do coupons in Belgium, that they do actions at their site, but I've never seen something attractive with any action (except silly stuff like free shipping)
If I wait for a decent action on the U2410 I'll probably be waiting for the rest of my life...

so please gimme some tips

It's not currently in stock in NL shops, but i do see them on ebay for ~500€ in DE, NL, ...

I'm sure that a decent shipping warranty is available but it's still not the same, i know.

but do you get the full / complete / original / same very good Dell warranty in those shops?
Since most monitors are so crap you at least have to exchange them a couple of times before you get a good one

and exactly at that point Dell itself is very good...

Is this really possible? Especially the part where they say that it doesn't matter that I'm from BE, while the shop is from NL, sounds very unlikely...

I think the warranty is no issue, you being from BE or anywhere else. The shipping in case of rma won't be free though, i suppose.

I think I even have 5 years on my monitor ( 2407).

It seems like Qsix is no longer in Tweakers, so I cant find your shopreview...

In meanwhile I called with Dell and asked them about this.

Although they cannot confirm that that specific shop sells Dell products with original Dell warranty, they did tell me that the Dell Warranty itself is Benelux wide. So IF it has Dell warranty, then that warranty would work too in Belgium (although the monitor comes from the Netherlands)
No extra shippingcosts would be billed...

After that I send another mail to Qsix, just to make sure...

Indien ik dus problemen heb, dan bel ik gewoon naar de Dell helpdesk, geef
ik het serienummer door, leg het probleem uit.
En dan komen ze gewoon bij mij thuis herstellen of sturen ze een replacement
