Default xfx geoforce 260 black edition

Hey Guys,

Ok, So iam a Noob and I just built my first system. I just got the XFX Geoforce GTX 260 black edition video card. Factory overclocked to 666mhz.
Iam getting lock ups after playing games for about five minutes. The lock ups happen after a whole lot of artifacting and weird pixellations on the screen. I have Nvidia system tools and i've ramped up the video cards fan to 85%. That did not help, Then i underclocked the card to 550 Mhz. And that did not help, The temperature of my card during game play is about 129.7 F. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here are my system specs:

Case: NZXT Nemesis elite Ram: pc2 8500 OCZ Reaper 4 gigs 2x 2 gig sticks
PSU: Tagan BZ 800 Watt XFX Geoforce core 216 gtx 260 black edition
Mobo: EVGA 750i ftw
CPU: Intel core 2 quad Q9650

Hi, just looking for some information. I am taking an Introduction to Computer Class and we have to do a presentation for upgrading 250 Pentium D computers to the quad-core processor and I need to know how to go about doing this?

Hey i am a N00b but not at building systems nor os and networking.
Me more a N00b in overclocking.
I know how the basic works but when i must do it, i get cold feet and start fearing that my expenssive cpu might die
And since a short while changed my main machine from a amd q9850 which is an absolute no go overclock cpu into a intel q6600 machine.
And guess what i have no clue how to overclock this one at all
