I wonder whether it doesn't result in a too big performance drop. I remember using L&H voice recognition software a few years back op my P2 450Mhz. It worked, but consumed 100% cpu power while 'decoding'.

Anyone tested this thingie? I have neither a microphone nor windows.

Yeah but still, if it consumes 1/4th of your 'fast' processor, it's still too much.

it's more like 1/6th the speed of a P4 2.26ghz.. and then we aren't counting the increased memory bandwidth

Just tried out those speech commands, and boy, it uses alot of juice! Game froze up a few times, cpu-usage at an almost constant 100%. But it adds an edge to the game.

Oh yeah, and while playing i got the error msg that my dvd-rom and cd-rw suddenly got disconnecten. Which kinda sux.
