Default US, UN Launch Attacks on Libya

Uh oh ... the US and UN acted fast to strike Libya. Looks like it's hitting the fan for the pro-government's efforts. Going to mainly try and keep politics out of it, and just offer a couple of links to different media sources about the incident.

Gunfire, explosions heard in Tripoli:
Tripoli, Libya (CNN) -- Explosions and anti-aircraft fire thundered in the skies above Tripoli early Sunday, but it was not clear whether they resulted from another round of cruise missile attacks by allies determined to stop Moammar Gadhafi's offensive against Libyan opposition forces.
Military push against Gaddafi in full swing
A multi-national force has launched a series of strikes against Muammar Gaddafi's forces in Libya. Gaddafi responded by attacking the city of Benghazi. As a result of the military actions, reportedly 48 were killed and 150 injured. The force is part of an operation to enforce a UN-backed no-fly zone.
Coalition launches Libya attacks
The UK, US and France have attacked Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi's forces in the first action to enforce a UN-mandated no-fly zone. Pentagon officials say the US and the UK have fired more than 110 missiles, while French planes struck pro-Gaddafi forces attacking rebel-held Benghazi.
International coalition launches strikes on Gaddafi's forces
TRIPOLI, LIBYA — U.S. and British warships rained scores of Tomahawk cruise missiles on Libyan air defenses and French warplanes swooped down on military vehicles Saturday, launching a U.N.-supported military intervention intended to stop Moammar Gaddafi’s brutal assault on opposition forces.

More than 100 missiles slammed targets along Libya’s western coast, destroying radars, transmitters and antiaircraft batteries to signal the start of “Operation Odyssey Dawn,” a multi*national military campaign intended to protect Libyan civilians and rebels forces.
Hope things don't get so desperate that Gadhafi's forces are going to start doing crazy things in large civilian areas.
