Default Unpleasant surprise at 6:20am

I get up early to get to work before the other people wake up, so at 6:20 I was ready to leave... when I ran into this -- wasted my whole day getting the damage repaired... they stole 2 hubcaps of the rims and as far as the technician at the garage could tell, a rubber protection ring under the hood...

My car is parked on a heavy traffic road (10-20 cars/minute during the day... 1/5min at night)... so they must have been interrupted in their "work.

the alarm is not peri-metric , so broken glass won't set if off, only when trying to jump start it , it might switch on.

the inside of the car was untouched... nothing gone

@BR: company car;

Nope, had to pay for it myself
(+ it's my own car)
Happened the first night of my 3 weeks holidays..

I suppose insurrance covers your costs? I hope so.. Ofcourse, it's never a fun thing to encounter, but when you don't have to think of the financial part, I guess it's easier to get over it..

normally, yes, afaik costs will be covered by insurance for the burglary

you did replace your windows with nice yellow tinted ones, to pimp the ride (and make them bullet proof)

'Unfortunately, the rear window was still intact as well as 1 small sidewindow (it shows scratches, but is ok). If those had been broken too, I probably would have had nice dark windows now (or another car, considering the costs to get things repaired).

Sucks, doesn't it!

Got rear-ended Monday morning on my way to work The other driver got the ticket; insurance will pay for the damage (bumper bender). But, it is not the same as being ripped off.

Oh, I quited my freaking job late in the day. 16-hr day 6 day week for 6 months; plus the boss is an ***. Lined up a couple of interviews in the next few days.
