I've found a solution too. Depending on the firmware, the shutter sound is disabled when the phone is in silent mode.
Other workaround is to press the c-button while taking a pic (didn't work for me, firmware dependant) or make a call and take the picture (works great).

Bad thing is, if you want to uprade the firmware, you'll need a phone station which costs ~E50
