I think it's a real shame that Sinterklaas is being pushed in the corner in favor of Santa Clause.

Ok, I can understand, although I do not approve of it, that shops try to enforce the whole Christmas / Santa Clause madness on us. But why does it have to be at the cost of Sinterklaas? Even from a commercial point of view, it doesn't make sense to me...

I will too, in due time my friend.

Trust me, I do know how you feel; and I'll bet you will do well. Keep positive thinking.

In short: globalisation. Kids know about santa AND sinterklaas before they know they are both fake. This causes confusion so one of them gotta go, and santa has the most worshippers so he wins.

please translate Sinter Klaas in English

could it be Santa Clause ?

ey ey?

I think .BE kids are spoiled brats for having 2 such events in December

does Sinter Klaas exist outside .BE borders?

people in Spain won't be singing "zie ginds komt de stoomboot uit Spanje weer aan"
