| Scientists make monkeys boring Boffins at the National Institute of Mental Health near Washington DC have developed a treatment that supposedly completely changes their work ethics. Doctor Richmond from the team reckons "normal monkeys and people procrastinate," and that they "work better when the reward is nearer in time." Apparently, the treatment-monkeys don't procrastinate one bit. The treatment involves cutting off the brain's supply of dopamine, although apparently after 10 weeks the effects of the treatment wear off. This treatment could mark a whole new era of monkey-based slave labour, increasing unemployment among humans and eventually leading to the destruction of the human race as we know it (it probably won't though). http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17834
