I'm driving on a main road with my bike ( kawasaki zzr 600 1998 ) at normal speed ; 70 kmh .

A jeep suddenly tries to cross the street ,
he "didn't see me".

I did everything to avoid impact ,
did a spectaculair stoppie en crashed on the road then without hitting him ,

oil on the road , etc

police and firemen came ,

this saturday suckt

were you hurt? damage "seems" to be superficial...

I hope you are okay and that we able to stop the Jeep driver and let his assurance pay for the damages

i broke my right thumb ,
bruised my ankles , few blue spots

yes the jeep stopped , he was pretty in chock , we filled the insurance papers in , police took notes etc , also pictures for proof.

tomorrow the expert from the insurance comes to the garage to see my bike

got a lot of paperwork to do :/

if i didnt have my protection suit on ,
i would have a knee and elbow less

I had a friend who's bike slid under him in a long corner, he was doing 100 km/h, he went on his back and luckily only damaged his left elbow "a bit". he was wearing a leather biker jacket.

although a bike can be practical, I find the risk for injury way to high

hope your thumb heals quickly and you'll be up and running soon

Considering the circumstances you were very lucky.

In similar circumstances one friend broke his hip and knee, another one had several injuries and had to wear a neck-brace for 3 months, ... both had protective suits, both crashed into a car that "didn't see them"

By international medical classification ,ANY broken bone is classified as heavy injury-you may sue that driver on that base too.Adequate medical documentation (traumatologist&radiologist report) is necessary.Just let you know,Bonbon...
