Default Beauty is truth, truth beauty....

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty--that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."

Those words the last line from Ode to a Grecian Urn by John Keates, who died at the age of 24 in 1821. Keates studied in Enfield, under an Apothecary Surgeon.

On my path to self-actualization, these are the things I embrace, because at 43 years old, I spent a life searching for happiness when it was always within. I now know why when I stood at the top of a mountain, or surfed the face of a wave that felt so good. It wasn't the wave, the mountain, the height or the speed. It was the freedom. freedom from what Plato spoke of when he said the Philosopher long's for death. That's not a suicidal statement, if that's what you see, then your looking with the wrong eyes. Plato meant, Freedom from the wordly things, distractions, and lower forms of thought which takes us further away from our true center.

When I react to someone in these forums, with distaste, it's not that I dislike YOU. I've never even seen any of you face to face. It's that I dislike those things that distract us from our true selves.

True Nobility, is not being Better then anyone else, it is being better the YOU used to be. For example when people talk about effect, and "all that matters is your effective" and I react to such a statement in fear. It's because I'm in fear being surrounded by those so obsessed with wordly pursuits. And that is my problem. When people think their better then others because their in possession of a few facts, that;s trying to shame someone into your point of view. And shame is the lowest form of energy in the universe.

When you squeeze an Orange orange juice comes out, it matter not how you squeezed it, whom squeezed it, when or why they squeezed it, it's what's inside.

So if I react with anger frustration, pain, it's because that's what's inside me at that time. This only proves that I am not "self-acutalized" only that I'm willing to admit when I' wrong. Whathas kept me at this site for as long is one person, JMKE, who is one of the few peope I've known strong enough within himself, and with an obvious thrist for knowledge to trust in letting new information. Being open doesn't have anything to do with being weak, it only feels that way sometimes because it's taking that first leap of blind faith, but all your trusting in is your own self, and that's got to be enough in this world. No one ever really becomes completely self-actualized until they return to whence they came.

Rumi a Persian poet born 1207 in Mecca said; Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment; Cleverness is mere opinion, bewilderment intuition

In my opinion, only in this way will your thirst for knowledge remain, its' not drowned in false pride. Facts, anyone can posesses them. But in order to learn, one must admit what they don't know.

Did you know that Rene Descartes the father of Phenominalsim, whom did more for physicalism, and neuroscience then any other through his strcit belief in Dualism, was a friend of Mersenne. Yes the founder of Prime, which we PC lovers use, was a Philosopher/Theologin first. Back in those times when thwere was no seperation of Church and Sate (as George Bush is trying tio bring back) many Dualist's were actually coset physicalist's (we are physiochemical beings and thoguhts are are not "etheral" but brain states). They couldn't write about this because they would be tried as Heretics, so Dualism thrived, and no one wanted to share the fate of Gallieo. Today I often feel as outcast, and I still wouldn't trade my uniqueness for all the friends in the world. Most of the great thinker's were outcast, by definition if ones thought's are outside the norm, they must be. I rather be persecuted, as bad as it may feel sometimes I know where my intentions are. I only seek truth, for truth is beauty and that is all Ye need to know.

Nicely written:

Cause and Effect -

1) When we look for result; what matters is how effective one performs rather than simply by saying "I've tried hard".

2) When we look for happiness; look no further because happiness is within oneself - not anywhere else.

3) When we learnt everything (per say), to whom could we have a nice exchange of conversation?

I know so little, so that I could always learn.

the moment we achieve this "true nobililty" of wich you speak, is the moment we surpass that wich makes us human. It's the moment we become something that we can not grasp as human beings. I believe in the afterlife. I believe that our lives as human beings are but a learning phase on our road to becoming something that is beyond our imagination.

And that is why the Philosopher longs for death, the poet celebrates life, human frailty, and the true Philosopher (father's of science) will always say "...all I know is I know nothing." Socrates.

I guess what I'm saying is that while we may disagree from time to time, let us still care for one another that we are of the same stuff. We are all (angry) Crustracea: Decapoda: Thalassinidea.

Of course anger is a "secondary emotion." We cannot become angry over that which does not first HURT us.
