windows memtest version good as standalone one? because i am writing a review of gskill pc4800 i want to test it on stability. is the windows version reliable? or should i use the bootversion? tnx;) url to site: http://hcidesign.com/memtest/ |

use the bootable! CDROM ISO or Floppy use the latest one to change mem timings on the fly, if needed after memtest passes at a certain speed boot into windows and run a few loops of 3DMark03/05 to test stability, as I've found that memtest stable != windows stable. run Memtest #5 in loop btw, this will stress the memory and you'll catch errors quickly |
ah tnx. i'll try it. |

hit c, then 1 [enter] 3 [enter] 5 [enter] 0 [enter] this is with the 1.5v :) |
yep 1/3/5/enter/0 and between 1/3/5 no enters needed:p i passed test5 on 300mhz memspeed, 2.75V and 2.5-3-3-5 but superpi aint stable |
