PSU Volt lines

are these voltlines as bad as I think they are?

+5V is under spec
-12 is WAY under
and the +5V SB is unreal.

in short, WTF, is that rig still running?

jmke 16th August 2004 23:28

verify those values in the BIOS health monitor page

Makaveli7 16th August 2004 23:31

lol I'm running my 2500+ @ 3200+ and a 9700pro. I suppose thats what I deserve when I use a shitty cheap case and psu that came with it. Need to invest in a new psu soon

edit: checked the bios and I got :
+3.3 = 3.2
+5 = 5.08
+12 = 12.11

No figures for -figures. So is speedfan reliable for its results?

kristos 17th August 2004 00:24

apparently not

StaRflaM 17th August 2004 00:34

that's something new ive learned with my brother's pc, always buy a new psu if you got one with a no-name case :)

jmke 17th August 2004 00:46

try MBM5 http://www.google.be/search?hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&q=mbm5&meta=

what motherboard are you using? check to see if there is a PC health app for it

FreeStyler 17th August 2004 11:13

or check those lines manually.
