potential harddisk failure? I got a harddisk that produced errors booting windows and needed several restarts to boot properly. It passed regular scandisk abut it hung itslef up defragmenting the C: drive at 23%, however it could defrag E:. Now the install is FUBAR. I tried changing the SATA port and checked that the cable is not bendt. Could the Harddisk be faulty or is it just the install (Seagate HD, 2.5 years old)? |
Have you run Chkdsk /f? |
try seagate's own diagnostic tools from their website; best way to check a disk |
