potential harddisk failure?
 

I got a harddisk that produced errors booting windows and needed several restarts to boot properly.

It passed regular scandisk abut it hung itslef up defragmenting the C: drive at 23%, however it could defrag E:. Now the install is FUBAR.


I tried changing the SATA port and checked that the cable is not bendt.



Could the Harddisk be faulty or is it just the install (Seagate HD, 2.5 years old)?

Have you run Chkdsk /f?
