One more question, I understand NF 4 mobos need plenty of power. At the moment I've got a 520W PSU, but the PSU only has a 20 pin connector. The dual PCIE mobo has a 24 pin connector. My question is wth a converter from 20 pin to 24 pin, would I have any OC/Stablility problems? Using a converter should be Ok right? |
well.. DFI gives NO SUPPORT if you don't use a native 24-pin Power Supply. |

DFI NF4 UT board is priced around $110, you can mod the chip for both SLI and SATA II. I had used 20-pin PSU for over 2 months at the beginning without any problem (single vcard). Then, the word cheap is not applicable. Cheap = Poor Expensive /= quality I'd say S-939 boards that can do =>300HTT at 300FSB 1T memory are considered excellent. |
SATA 2 does not officialy exist FYI |
Well, I thnk my 20 pin Aspire (Junk I know, but it was $20 from a friend and supposedly puts out 35A on the 12v rail) would run the mobo, without problems, but I'd rather trust DFI engineers and be safe. Now for a power supply..... |
