| Must have been extremely bad luck to have 2 noisy P4's then. : ) Or maybe it's depends on the motherboard too?

| psu can be excluded: I switched my antec truepower 550 w with an enermax 450w; still same, crazy making noise. the hunt for another PIV is officially declared open :grr: |

| I'm thinking you should try to put some EMI insulation somewhere on your mobo... I think there're parasites due to maybe some less good built tracks or something like that... |

| Weird, I've never heard of hissing sound from any processor. Are you guys for real. What could have made the sound? The only thing I could think of is from "poor" grounding (earth wire) from: 1) Negative power line is not used. 2) Power Line is not grounded properly around the building. 3) Case is not grounded properly.

| I remember a woman sueing Intel a while back because she claimed to get an headache from the noise her chip made. She lost, but she had a point. I guess some ppl are really sensitive to high pitched noise.
