| Yeah, I've got my eyes on a LianLi PC6070 (comes with dampening mats), but it's pretty expensive.

| AAaarrrgg I've got the same. From the moment on the CPU starts working (eg opening some file) I hear a higher pitched sound. When his work is done, it stops or drops very much...

| Yeah, I checked my other IS7 + P4C rig: same sound. Bloody annoying, isn't it? : / The P4C will be replaced by a Via Epia system this weekend... including hard disk and cd-rom, it drains about 50-75W. Silence at last.

| No, the older C3's used to be really, really slow (comparable to P2 400mhz), but the new Nehemiah core isn't that bad. They made a few changes like SSE and DDR support, and now it's comparable to a high end P3 system. For what I will use it (programming/movies/internet on linux) it is fast enough. Remember, i've got a second P4C @ 3.5ghz & r9800 to play games. ; )
