mijne northbridge-fan wil nie draaien. ik zit op de moment me een is7 abit mobo.


is da normaal ?????

It's normal, but it won't kill you mainboard.

Power connector plugged in well ?

soms draait em en soms niet (dus power zit goe).
mobo is nog geen half jaar oud.
geluid komt ook nie al te zuiver uit mijn onboard-geluidskaart.

hmm,

doesn't the mainboard have any option in bios, to controll the fan (temperature related).

yes, but the fan should always run.

go back the shop where you bought it and ask for an RMA (repair).

It's a well known problem with the Abit IS7. The newer revision has a different heatsink+fan on the northbridge. If you bought it at a shop with good service, an exchange to a newer model shouldn't be a problem.

the fan on our P4T533 has stopped working after half a year. it's working for a year without NB fan and it's still fine

ik ga maandag om iets voor die fan op rechtstreeks op voeding aan te sluiten :d problem solved dan peis ik...

nobody said it will fail, but if the board is still under warranty , get it fixed
