the main problem of a hdd recorder is to find one with a usb port or network connection to copy the files to a hdd....

I think I'll go for this one:

+Budget
+USB
+MPEG4

-"limited" harddisk (can be fixed by the usb connection I hope)

Does anyone know it's possible to send the recorded movies to an attached disk by using the usb port (in common)
If not, it will be a great test for the shopkeeper

I think you can only "back up" the movies from the internal HDD to the DVD+R recorder.
