Depends whether it is supposed to be a gaming rig or an all-round system...

I'd go for 2*256MB, but the 9500PRO will have a much greater impact on games.

Prolly is a 150 EUR board, put in a 250 EUR proc, a performant quality cooler and some good ram ... and you STILL have some money left !

all i want is

apps starting up like a lightning beam
and the ability to play some games

not to have the most fps of the world
if they work smooth its ok
