DFI is a company started by people who quit Abit, most of their overclocking guru's went to work at this new company;

while in the beginning they produced average OC motherboard, since their nForce2 motherboards have hit the street they have become more and more popular with the OC crowd.

Their nForce3 250Gb S754 was an overclocker's dream come true , and their latest NF4 boards carry on the tradition of being excellent S939 boards which perform best when pushed to the limit.

their support & info forums can be found here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/

and whats the advantages a 'normal' mobos have over all-in-one mobos ?
or wats the advantages/disadvantages of both ?

normal
- more expansion slots ?
- and what else ?
all-in-one
- i know all-in-one mobos r cheaper ..

and hows nForce better thn VIA ?

Who the hack came up with these terms "normal" and "all-in-one".

Find me a Normal woman; better yet a "all-in-one" woman, please.

A) your very first question was answered.
B) you may not like the answer
C) all you need to do is to read the specs of the board listed by the board makers.

nforce3/4 has better OC potential than VIA boards; but when run at stock speeds both chipsets deliver comparable performance (if not identical)

if you're going for SLI, nVidia is the only way to go

If you're planning to overclock an AMD, you should definitely go for DFI mobo, and I mean the DFI Lanparty models (NF4 Ultra-D or NF4 SLI or NF4 SLI-DR). In my opinion, DFI Lanparty NF4 is THE BEST mobo in the market nowadays for overclocking. It gives you all the advanced features needed for an extreme overclocker (and much more), like DDR Voltage of up to 4V!!!

GOOD LUCK with your decision.

don't forget the Epox 9NPA+ SLI :)

second best mobo around, only vdimm is limited to 3.2v.
