Default linux proxy server

ok guys, i got another n00b linux question. this ones for a different machine. i pick linux a few weeks ago, i've tried a few different distros and right now i'm liking fedora 3. i figure im pretty comfortably navigating my way through it now. adn i'd like to put it on my gateway instead of windows xp.

this gateway uses the windows ICS currently for a dial-up connection, its all i have. i have 4 machines, only one connects to the web. so i want to install fedora on it and use it as a proxy, or have it share its internet connection.

i have 2 problems
1-i dont know how to set up a modem driver/connection
2-i dont know how to set it up to share the connection

any help is greatly appreciated.
