| gigabit UTP cable? Where can one buy cat5-e cable for gigabit lan? Is cat5-e cable really necessary, or will cat5 suffice in most cases too?

| I think CAT5 will suffice, try it out at least, if you experience unacceptably low transfer speeds, then consider buying the other CAT5-E cable.

| well, i supose good quality cat5 will do. only the frequency rate is the big difference between the cat5(e)-cat6. some minor changes to prevent data loss and collision, but nothing fancy. however, all copper gigabit devices clearly state cat5e-cat6 |

| i could get my hands on a fair amount of CAT6 and/or CAT5E UTP cable ... is there any interest in this? i'm not planning to waste my time with trying to get us a deal here, if nobody's interested in buying some in the end ... |
