| Empty IE windows My father is having some issues with his laptop. When he clicks on a link in IE that opens a new browser window the window opens but it stays emty and we get the hourglass. There is no popup blocker installed, I uninstalled ZoneAlarm, Norton 2005, did a system restore, scanned for spyware but the problem stays. Any advice? OS: Win Xp Home with integrated SP2 (Acer standard install)

| Lan works fine, we can access the site without problems with Firefox or Opera. Internet is no problem, just using links that opens another IE window. I even have the problem when I use a simple html page with one link that opens another html file in a new window (both files on the hard disk).

| IE is a part of SP2 and SP2 was included in the Windows install so I don't have a repair or reinstall option. So if you have any idea's how to reinstall IE on a Win XP Sp2 please let me know.
