AMD dual core problem on WIn XP x64 Hello: I am new here, and looking for help on a apparently strange problem. I have a machine with AMD 64x2 3800 + (socket AM2), mother MSI K9AGM-F with 2 gb RAM. Installed Win XP x64 with SP2. Installation went OK, but software seems not recognizing the dual core. Control panel -> device manager shows the two cores, but Task manager only one plot, and the "One graph per CPU" option is disabled. Any help? Thanks a lot in advance. |
Solved! I just reinstalled the ACPI multiprocessor driver (updated with the same already installed) and all is in order now. Thanks anyway Regards |
that's weird, a bug in XP perhaps? |
I don't know, really. May be a bug in the x64 installation. |
