Default Alpha pal on PIV

Right. Got that stuff yesterday from Loveno.
Today I went for some thermal grease, because it wasn't included.
I installed this thing, it went quite well ...
But when I started my PC, he gave me in bios a temp of 45°.
Ok, isn't that high. I started windows and started folding , so cpu usage = 100%.
cpu temp is now 63°.
I mean WTF ??
That's more as with the stock cooler !!!

Did i do something wrong ?? Or is this normal ?? :grum:

Certainly not. ok it's the first time i ever used thermal grease, but I even thought the layer was too thin(dun) ..

Ok , i've got to admit , the stock cooler did the same temp with 4 case coolers i do not use now, but i want to lose those coolers...
They make way too much noise ...

recheck the seating of the heatsink on the CPU
be sure to apply not to much or to little pressure

tighten the screws until they can't turn no more, but don't force them.

I don't have time to do that now (or i'm just to lazy) but i'll try it tomorrow ...
Maybe the papst doesn't cool it down enough ??
And the fan should "suck" the air out of the alpha heatsink right ??
