once, after install of winxp, my graca alsa refused to work @ high resolution (1024*768 and higher->crash)

maybe a stupid question?
but did you try removing the card en reinserting it maybe bad connection in mb.

had this same prob with a msi k7t turbo 2 and gf2mx400
solved it for me.

as far as i know, it has something to do with the refesh rates. put them @ 60hz and retry :)

Don't worry, I'm not touching it with a then foot pole. Perhaps your GF2 GTS got a bit unhappy by being surrounded by dead GFX cards. :p


Reinstall windows: no time. I've got exams, remember? I'm not going to reïnstall Winxp twice unless absolutely necessary.

Installed Hercules 3D prophet drivers and it seems to be working well.


First time I encounter the generic Nvidia drivers giving problems. :s

TV card refuses to work with installed drivers, but i'm happy.



Damn, i just realized a Duron 900Mhz & a fast HD is sufficient for 90% of the things i use a pc for.
