![]() | Max VID for a 3.0e (.09 micron) is 1.4v. Absolute maximum (non functional voltage--the chip should not receive a clock at this voltage) for these chips is 1.55v. You exceeded this, so you were definitely asking for trouble. Regardless of the cooling setup....Just because you keep an overvolted CPU cool does not mean that it won't degrade or die. I've read this on xtremesystems forums. I allready need 1,68 V to boot at 265 FSB. So I think I'm maxed out. ![]()
