I Have a Celeron 2.66 ghz socket 478

overclocking in a cube isn't adviced, but you can try :)

use clockgen, can be found here : http://www.cpuid.org/clockgen.php

Why not advised?

I would like to know why people do not advise to overclock a cube? Is it because of the lack of air and the crampedness?

Anyways, what settings do I start with to Oc anyways.

Sorry I am noob each computer I buy I get closer to one that allows me to do more with it.

Maybe you should check your temperatures first.
Speedfan can help with that or a dygnostic tool from your motherboard.
Speedfan can be found here: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

Overclocking via the FSB not Bios

Hello, I was told that I could overclock via the fsb using a program called CPUCOOL, I downloaded it and found the PLL but now I am not sure what settings to set it at to actually overclock.

Thanks,

That CPUCOOL thingie is the same thing as Clockgen, it just raises your FSB.

And you could start giving us your other computer components, much easier to answer if you have any questions...

Normal Temps

Hello!

I am just getting into this temp monitoring stuff, what should normal temps be, no overclocking or anything like that just plain ole temps.

Just would like a baseline so I know if I am running hot or not.

Then what about if I overclocked?

It looks like I have 3 temp sensors showing up using clockgen.

Temp sensor 1, Temp sensor 0, Temp1

Thanks,

Billiam
