Hello,

Who nows if there's a solution to get some more volts on my V-core and V-dimm (DDR).
Standard the mobo gives a max of 1.85 v-core and max 2.8 DDR voltage :(

mobo is Asus A7N8X-Deluxe rev 2.0


voltmod or special bios?

I don't think a bios will allow you to reach higher voltages, so a voltmod is the best solution. For that vdimm mod you can also use a OCZ booster. First look if it compatible with your mobo and PSU

the vcore mod seems quiet hard, you have to solder it on those small pins.

maybe, just practice on some broken hradware, and you wil see its easier than it looks

idd, it's not that hard. I allready tried it, but you have to be very carefully and have steady hands. Thats where it when't wrong a few times when I tried it.
Made 10 of those connections as practice, and screwed up 2 of them (on broken hardware)

But if you got a good solder iron and steady had it will be no problemo.

make sure your wire isn't tinned to thick because it will stick to the surrounding pins

don't heat it to often because the rosin flux will have vaporised.

also, don't heat the tin to long because the rosin flux core will burn and form little crusts and it again won't stick.

easiest thing would be a hold down to keep the wire in position, then just heat it a little until you see the solder flow to the pin on the IC.

plan ahead on how you are going to bend your wire in order to prevent it from getting in the way of other components so you don't have to tuck the wire anymore and thus risk that it brakes off.

and if you want to be safe, go get a glue gun and some hotglue to help secure your wire onto the IC. (I found mine at the local GB brico)
