Unlocking Xp2500+ multiplier

I'm still looking for a good guide to unlock my Xp2500+
On google, i found some older guides, but i'm not sure about it. And after some hours reading there, i'm a litlle bit crazy, and don't know what to do with it.

My processor stepping is AXDA2500DKV4D ... KQYHA0416TPPW

So he's from week 16, year 2004.
He's MP locked, but I want to be sure if its possible to do a wire trick or something like that, and a decent howto, to unlock the mp's.
Right now he's running @ 2480mhz, not a bad oc, but i want more gain from my fsb to get more power(bandwith) out of the memory (2*512 OCZ Gold pc3700 rev 3.0

plz some advice.

this seems a good walkthrough : http://www.ocworkbench.com/2004/guid...ing_xp39+.html

doesn't look easy to me
at least I think it won't be easy, I've never used wpcredit.
but maybe you don't need to, maybe painting that seccond l5 bridge will do the trick, also, there you can try doing a socket or a wire mod to obtain the desired mutliplier: http://www.ocinside.de/index_e.html

I can't tell you how it 'll work out eather since I never had the need to try this.

Sell it ... and get a Mobile unit. Save time; less risk in damaging your current chip before it becomes worthless; more headroom less heat with mobile chip.

At the end you are a happier person.:)

might not wanna put any more money in an aging platform, try to make the best of what you got now and save up for s939 or the next best thing

actually, mobiles run a fair bit hotter and can't stand the heat asmuch. I'm not the only one who experienced this btw ;)
