ti 4200 Voltmod I've done a voltmod on my card, but I don't see an improvement in GPU speed (still 306Mhz max.) How do I test if it really worked? Like a utliity that reads graca voltages or with a multimeter? thanks. |
multimeter, most guides indicate too where the voltage can be probed. vidcard voltage can not be monitored |
you'll need a multimeter , what guide did you use to do the voltmod? what brand is it? there are voltage readout points on the back of the card, but these are card specific |
I used this guide: http://www.cluboverclocker.com/guide..._mod/page3.htm It's a guide for a ti4600 mod, but my card has the same design and the same voltage chips. brand : Point of view pic of the mod Didn't consider the fact that I may have to use other resistors because it's a ti4200. And how do check the voltage with a multimeter? Just hold the 2 'ends of the multimeter' where I soldered the resistor? edit : pleeeaaase? |
I'll do some googling (got a card from the same brand, and want to do a vmod 2 :) ) ps: what is the brand model? I got the 4680 with 3.3ns ram. (= 4200 at agp 8) |
well, I have the 4200 w/ 3.3ns. Does yours also have a ti4600 pcb design? Then the chips are the same (look at pic & guide), I just don't know which resistors to use. But if I someone could tell me how to read the voltage with a multimeter, I'd know. |
is this yours? this and I think we have to use the normal ti4200 vmod. got to play some swg now, but I'll look it up tomorrow if you want to. |
just found this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ghlight=ti4680 it seems that our card is the same? or very close to it anyway. And: ask gamer :D |
It's not an 8x AGP card. Just a ti4200 w/ 4600 design. Just like the albatron from Gamer. I'll post some pics tomorrow. tnx allready |
