Scythe Ninja Plus revB : a good choice? hey people I've been thinking about buying one of those crazy heatsink towers to cool my E6600, which is currently running with the stock fan for the moment, I've settled on the Scythe Ninja Plus revB, but the Noctua NH-U12 still could be a good choice the Ninja is wider than the NH-U12 (110mm vs 76mm) for the same weight/height does it mean the NH-U12 is better suited to work with low airflows? because I think I'm gonna use only one Noctua fan @5V, or maybe two of them in a push/pull configuration so what do you think? what's the best choice? thanks :ws: |
Ninja and NH-U12 are very evenly matched performance wise http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID= 384 but the tighter packed fins of the U12 are more suited for higher CFM fans, the Ninja's increased surface area is more suited for very low airflow. all in all difference in performance will be in the 2-5°C region, so get the one easiest and cheapest available to you, both are very capable HSF and good choices. |
I knew you made a review of the NH-U12, but I couldn't find it again :-p Quote:
