Scythe Mugen 3 installation advice

Hi,

bought & installed a Scythe Mugen 3 PCGH edition. However, I have a little question regarding the installation: How tight do I have to screw the cooler to the backplate:
- complete down
- until it gets adequately tough to screw the screws

Thanks

Just check the temps, if it gets better with a tight fit just do it :)

on what system?

Socket AM3+ (FX-8120)

The 'arms' are already reasonably bend, so I guess it is sufficient.
I was just wondering if maybe I should try to screw it down harder, as a lot of weight (the block is huge) is pulling down on the 'top side' of the cpu.

you will see that the bolts provided are just half treaded,
so if you screw on a nut it would only go half the way on the bolt,

is this correct ?

Seems to be the case indeed. All good then :-)

Some notes:
- the Asrock 970de3/u3s3 does not seem very fit for overclocking. When requesting 1.4V core voltage, I get:
* 1.39 idle
* 1.33 under load
:(
- the asrock 970de3/u3s3 won't boot without a graphics card (unless a fan is active on CHA_FAN1 wtf?)
