| A good point, and it was a minor problem for awhile. Actually, it (the CPU) ran in the 59-60C range - I'm not sure what the ambient temp was at the time. But that was bit too warmish for my liking. The original HSF proximity and orientation to the power supply was not allowing good airflow though the fins, I've switched HSFs, and dropped the temp down to 52-53C. Still too warm - so I opened the passenger side window and installed a couple of laptop fans to pull some additional cool air in. Now we're down to roughly 46-47C. I'm going to try opening up the power supply's case a little more so it can pull even more air out through its fan as well - it's not helping very much at all with the cooling slots all the way to the rear of the car. I'm trying for anything under 37C. I welcome all comments and suggestions... except for changing the body to a #24 Dupont model. |
