Removing arctic silver or regular epoxy from RAM/GPU?

Is there a way to remove heat sinks that have been glued onto RAM or GPUs without using nasty chemicals or heavy machinery? I don't want to take a chance :nono:

I have heard that putting the card into the freezer for a while will make the epoxy become non-sticky.

I alway use a screwdriver to remove the heatsinks, I don't use the power of the freezer
Put it under the sinks and twist gently, do this on different sides of the sink, it will pup up if you got lucky

place a creditcard under the screwdriver to protect your card from cratching.

you could, but if you've got problems or if you worry removing it ,(eg rich b had to use very much force to remove the hs of his gf1ddr) you can put it in the freezer to reduce the risk (dont forget the antistatic bag)
