Removing arctic silver or regular epoxy from RAM/GPU? Is there a way to remove heat sinks that have been glued onto RAM or GPUs without using nasty chemicals or heavy machinery? I don't want to take a chance :nono: I have heard that putting the card into the freezer for a while will make the epoxy become non-sticky. |
I alway use a screwdriver to remove the heatsinks, I don't use the power of the freezer :) Put it under the sinks and twist gently, do this on different sides of the sink, it will pup up if you got lucky :) place a creditcard under the screwdriver to protect your card from cratching. |
