Phase Change Cooling ,which is the best

Hi,

I'm a H2O overclocker and want to go to phase.
Some thing like Asetek Vapochill or nventiv mach?
But which is the best + where to buy (online shop)

Thx, ;)
GoldenEye

geoffrey 4th September 2007 21:53

Prometeia Mach II is the best product out their, custum units are even better but harder to get and less safe to buy.

I know one place which used to sell those, it's dutch though, dunno what your exact location is. Link: http://www.oc-shop.nl/nl/index.php?sID=42&tpID=14

Massman 4th September 2007 22:11

Belgium, so the netherlands is not really a problem

Gamer 5th September 2007 13:04

Mach II GT is the better one.

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 14:59

I think i'll take

Prometeia Mach 2 GT 775
Lian Li add-on Black
Lian Li PC-61 Case

I don't like much the standaart look

jmke 5th September 2007 16:08

pretty hefty investment, what's your goal for the phase change cooling?

blind_ripper 5th September 2007 17:11

u will pay almost dubbel that off a custom single unit , and witte a custom unit is as safe or beter safer ;) .
when i say custom build i think off littledevil or piotres ;)

jmke 5th September 2007 17:20

surely less safe to buy indeed, no warranty, no shipping warranty, no replacement parts, etc. Retail product carries higher price tag, but in return you do get more for your money support/warranty wise.

You misunderstood Blind, not "less safe to run", just less safe to buy:)

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 17:27

It's for 24/7 (my pc don'st run all the time :D)
It's for a C2Q Yorksfield
And just for a bench with my P4 550 Prescott (I wanna reach 5GHz if it's possible)

Same make: pfffffff, I don't know how to begin :D
If somebody could help, that would be ok
Kits like Mach and Vapochill are not bigg :)

jmke 5th September 2007 17:33

Jort can make one for you if you pay the right price;)

geoffrey 5th September 2007 18:25

24/7 I would definitely go for Mach 2 GT.

EDIT: no John, Jort is out of the PhCh cooling market.

jmke 5th September 2007 18:28

for the right price, nobody is "out" ;)

when we say out we say out !
btw i never had a mis buy , u have to make clear understate ments with ur builder : like shipping cost and repair ;) .
btw LD is way beter then jort whase in his day's , im just onist :p

jmke 5th September 2007 18:34

post contact details already of "LD" or is that LSD spelled wrong? :p

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 18:41

Offtopic:

Must I cool my RAM with H2O, or that not nessacery.

blind_ripper 5th September 2007 18:41

just contact him on xs throug pm and he will replay !
he is one off the nice's guy's i know , and how about i tell u that jort buy'd all his phase gear from him :p .
not all but most off all the parts , think his custom unit is 450€ with a controller .
if jort whase not in holland he would say the same thing :) .

NOTE TO JOHN :
een stock mach2 zelfs GT en vapo LS kunnen geen weg met de warmte van een quad !
daar wint een custom elke dag van , zie het onder ogen .
dat iemand dat dit als hobby kan doen beter en goedkoper is dan een fabriek :) .

geoffrey 5th September 2007 18:47

The Mach II condensation insulation is more trustable for 24/7 then any off those single units, but that's just my thought :)
Performance whise, we 'll know that custum tweaked units or better then pre-designed units, that's completly normal, but can it cover the lost of a dead mainboard(s)?

Can a mobo die when it's to cold.
I don't know not so much of sub zero cooling

ask for a vapo mounting :) any thing is posseable

blind_ripper 5th September 2007 18:52

yes a board can die fast if its cold ;) but not with a single stage .
think LD has a vapo mounting for 775 ;)

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 18:55

The mobo i gonna buy must bie a great OCer :D
maybe 38X

jmke 5th September 2007 18:58

X38.

@Blind: where did I say that Vapo could handle OC'd Quad? Quote me ******.

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 19:03

But which RAM,
I don't know
I gonna buy it in the summer 08
Hopefolly DDR 3 is much cheaper than now :)

blind_ripper 5th September 2007 19:05

u all say buy a mach2 , where i say it cant handel the LOAD !
i know u did not say that i say this becaus he would not buy something that is not fit for the future , om da em anders een verkeerde koop doet :p.

Corsair Dominator PC8500?

I won't die because of the cold generated by single stage phase change cooling, but it can die if condensed water reaches the board and short some PCB traces.

Can it handle heat load? Yes, it all depends on how much you are going to overclock your system, at slightly increased vcore you will be able to get a pretty good overclock, and the Mach II will keep the GPU cold at any time.

GoldenEye 5th September 2007 20:40

geoffrey 5th September 2007 21:23

gaat niet goed met high load heb da zelf getest ;) , QX6700 met 1.66vcore @ 4.5ghz had ik 4°C verschil dan met men (cheap 5€ a peace) stuff

GoldenEye 11th September 2007 17:15

Volgens :

http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&number=14&artpage=2800&articID= 606

Is "OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 FlexXLC" het beste

GoldenEye 12th September 2007 18:17

Zou ik nu PC9200 of PC9600 nemen ?

geoffrey 12th September 2007 18:21

9200 als je dan toch iet die twee wilt kiezen
