Overclocking K7SOM+ with XP2000+ Pro CPU

hi my name is olingphilo,i have an amd pro 2000+
with a K7SOM+ mother board would like to overclock the machine,but unfortunately the board cannot support overclocking.
does anyone have any ideas so as to what can be done to improve my situation.

If SoftFSB ( http://www.geocities.com/enigmadeadsouls/softfsb.html ) does not work, I'm afraid there is no way to overclock this system.. the CPU is soldered to the board right?

but even then you will be limited by the boards vcore and lack of multiplier adjustements.

Could you take a picture of the CPU , close-up , with the cooler removed?
does it look like an ordinairy Athlon XP CPU? if so.. you could hard lock the multiplier / vcore by connecting/cutting bridges.. the chance of screwing up your whole system by doing this is... 50%.. minimum.. and that's when you have had previous experience doing things like this.

I'd let him wiretrick the CPU, either by connecting pins on the CPU or by soldering wires to CPU socket of the mainboard

check www.ocworkbench.com, they did some great modding with the k7s5a, perhaps you find something for your mainboard

no way. you search what pins you have to connect, and then you solder a few wires on the back of the mainboard.

do-able if you know how to solder, and less dangerous then cutting traces on the CPU

he might be an OC newbie, but does that mean he can't solder or he can't find someone to solder it for him?
