my new ..erm.. 'frame'

While i was browsing the web, i came across this thing:
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/i...ideshow&iid=84
the tbcs test rig.
When i saw this i was struck by a moment of genius!
Then i realised that they did it first :grum: .

anyway, i used that very same idea in my own special way (with less i candy that is ), and this is the result:

this thing is actually quite usefull too, i mean
-it contains my entire comp
-it can hold 2 cd-drives and up to 6 hard drives, all nicely cooled by 2 92mm fans(which are ordered and thus not yet attached)
-it has a power button (now more fidling around with a screwdriver)
-it has 2 front usb ports
-and finally: i don't have to take my pc apart everytime i need to move it around (!)

my former solution of just placing everything on my desk had none of these fancy features.
and this thing is in aluminum, so it's quite fashionable

Have you ever considered something like this -

Make your table bigger for other junks.

Or something like this -

A bit heavier, but you take the "whole" thing with you.

laptop is out of the question, as u can't quite fiddle with it
and a case is way to crowded for my likings, even the really big ones
this way i can easily change any part of my comp. without the hassle of screw and sidepanels and stuff
yes i'm lazy

hehe, love no-case setups .
Much better than a case, it runs cooler, it looks cooler and you can cool it with less noise to get the same temps .
No dust problems, no metal problems (so far )

How can it run cooler when you put a rag under the HDD?
Well, we now can see two "caseless" setups.

I hate to see how the rest of your room looks
